James N. Hendrickson

James N. "Jim" Hendrickson, 62, of Sioux City passed away Thursday, Jan. 24, 2008, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2008, at Morningside Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Lee Crum officiating. Private family graveside will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. today, at Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

James was born Nov. 14, 1945, in Sioux City, to Norman James and Elsie (Pierson) Hendrickson. He was the C.F.O. and vice president of Metz Baking, and more recently the comptroller of Steck Foods.

He was a member of the Morningside Assembly of God Church. James enjoyed fishing, yard work, but most of all, spending time with his family.

Survivors include his mother, Elsie Hendrickson of Sioux City; a son, Jeremy and his wife, Tiffany Hendrickson of Sioux City; a daughter, JoLynn and her husband, Shane Keplinger of Omaha, Neb.; a sister, Barb Carney of Waverly, Iowa; and three grandchildren, Presley, Caden and Sophie Keplinger, all of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman.
