March 18, 1963 — October 3, 2016

George A. “Tony” DeWall, 53, of Sioux City passed away Monday October 3, 2016 at a Sioux City hospital.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday October 7, 2016 at Morningside Lutheran Church.

Visitation will be Thursday October 6, 2016 from 4 till 8 p.m. with the family present from 6 till 8 p.m. and prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Tony was born March 18, 1963 in Sioux City Iowa the son of John and Jacky (Peters) DeWall. He attended Sioux City Community Schools and graduated from Sioux City North in 1981.  Tony was employed with Interbake Foods in the sanitation department where he was a member of the Bakers Union # 433.

Tony married Laura Wilson on Feb 11, 1983 in Sioux City. Tony loved to fish, taking care of his lawn, cooking BBQ, spending time with his friends and family, but most of all spending time with his grandchildren. Tony was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan. 

Mr. DeWall is survived by his wife Laura, son; Nathan DeWall and daughter; Stephanie DeWall both of Sioux City. Parents John and Jacky DeWall of Sioux City.  Three sisters; Jerri Daugherty and her husband Peter Mills, Jill Smith and her husband Edwin and Jenny Hernandez and her husband Edy all of Sioux City. Brothers-in- law Bradley Wilson of Sioux City and sister-in-law Melissa Mansfield of Van Meter Iowa.  Four Grandchildren Sierrah, Dominic, Mariah and Aliyah DeWall.  Many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father-in-law; Larry Wilson and cousins.
