Zackary A. Nielsen

Zackary A. Nielsen, 42 of Sioux City passed away Thursday, June 19, 2025 after a sudden illness. Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.

Zack was born January 2, 1983 in Independence, Iowa to Tracy Dempsey. He received his education in the Oelwein, Iowa schools. He later moved to Sioux City where he worked at Menards for the last 14 years.

Zack was a big sports guy. He enjoyed watching hockey, baseball, and football, but he loved sports in general and would watch anything related to sports. His favorite team was the Cleveland Browns.

He also loved spending time with family and friends, wildlife, fishing, and hunting.

Zack is survived by his brother, Sam Nielsen and his sister, Katie Green and her children, Cameron “Wildman” McAllister, Jackson “Reaper” Green, and Kingston “Shoots” Green.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Tracy.
