Wanda "Toots" Faye Chrestensen

Wanda Faye "Toots" Chrestensen, 76, of South Sioux City, Nebraska passed away at her residence on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 following a lengthy illness.Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, March 5, 2009 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in South Sioux City, Nebraska with Father Dan Whittrock officiating. Twenty-four hour vigil with the family present will be held at the Mohr Funeral Home, 1000 W. 29th Street, Suite 110 in the South Ridge Plaza in South Sioux City, Nebraska from Wednesday morning, March 4, 2009 until the time of the funeral Thursday morning. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 4, 2009 at the funeral home.Wanda was born January 31, 1933 in Winnebago, Nebraska to Floyd and Dorothy (Newburn) Lucart. She later moved to Sioux City, Iowa where she attended school.She was baptized in the Catholic Faith.She was employed by Total Janitorial Management for several years.Wando loved baking, cooking, crafts, shopping, flowers and her family, and was known by many that called her "Gramma Toots".She is survived by a daughter, Terri Larson and her husband, Jerry; a son, Gerald Girard and his wife, Paula; a daughter, Pam Tranmer and her husband, Gary; a daughter, Kathy Arreola and her husband, William; grandchildren, J.D. Larson, Shawna Messerlie, Jason Tranmer, Marvin Arreola, Heather Gallarzo, Nick Arreola and Amber Arreola, Dawn Sheehan, Genoveva Arreola and Rafael Arreola; 8 great-grandchildren, a brother, Micky Lucart and his wife, Judy and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Wanelda (Ferni) Waggoner; and a special friend, Ron Tranmer.
