Wanda L. Mobley, 93, of Sioux City, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at a local care center.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and private graveside services will be held at Logan Park Cemetery.
Wanda was born in Huron, South Dakota, to Allen and Clara Sparks on February 12, 1932. Wanda was the second of four children born into this family. Lola, Glenda, and Bruce have passed away.
The family moved to Sioux City when she was five years old. Sioux City was always her favorite place, it claimed her heart early, it was home.
Wanda married John H. Smith, and the couple had one daughter, DeLaina Dawn Smith. The couple later divorced. She married Benny Dunham and to this marriage, a daughter Jill Darla and son, Kirk Duane were born. Together they raised the children, divorcing after 22 years. Wanda married Joseph Mobley, and he preceded her in death on May 23, 1999.
Wanda worked at Zenith for five years and retired from American Popcorn after 23 years. She attended Northside Alliance Church and enjoyed teaching, learning, prayer, music, and goodwill until the Church’s closing. Blessings abound, who could ask for more.
Wanda is survived by her children: Jill and husband Dick Lesline and Kirk Dunham; grandchildren: Sunshine Myers. Lacy Terrazas, Dustin Lesline, Tim Archer, Robin Buddi; and five great grandchildren.
