Our dearest Wanda Gloe Espinoza fell asleep in death on July 3rd, 2024. Daughter of Charlie and Daisy (Brown) Rowton born December 23, 1938 in Idabel, Oklahoma, where she grew up.
She was a devoted mother to Sherry Lynn (Espinoza) Comstock (husband Steven Comstock) and Mark Alan Kugle (wife Jenelyn Kugle). A loving and kind grandmother to Sesilie (Comstock) Vinson, Steven Comstock II, Mark Kugle Jr, and Xander Kugle. She deeply loved her children and grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy and sense of accomplishment.
She was an example of generosity, willing to help in any way she could. She loved people and often struck up conversations with strangers. She enjoyed being outside in nature, trees were her favorite things to observe. She loved telling stories of how she climbed trees as a child and dreamed of flying.
Wanda loved her God, Jehovah. Her faith and hope were unbreakable. She talked about that hope to everyone who would listen, right up to her last days. She knew Jehovah and trusted in his promise of a paradise earth where she would live again and be young forever. She cherished that future hope!
Her family and friends will see her there soon, climbing trees, swimming in the ocean and eating apples.
A memorial service celebrating Wanda’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Onawa, Iowa. Meyer Brothers Funeral Homes in Sioux City is assisting with arrangements.
