Virginia M. Sagert "Ginger", 76, of Dakota City, Nebraska, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at her residence, with her daughter Melody by her side. Abiding by her wishes, cremation has taken place and burial of cremains will be in the Taylor Cemetery of rural Homer, Nebraska at a later date. 

Ginger was born on January 9, 1950, to Gracie and Virgil McDaniel in San Antonio, Texas. She married Harold M. Sagert Sr on September 23, 1973.

Surviving are her daughters Melody Cole who never left her side, Mary Seibold and family and Martha Whitmore and family and lots of adopted children at the Huddle of South Sioux.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Sr; son, Harold Jr; mother, Gracie Mann and 2 sisters
