Vicky L. Rhymer, 78, passed away peacefully at her residence in Sioux City, IA on June 22, 2024. She was born on May 15, 1946, in Sioux City, IA, to Donald and Delores (Grenier) McKewon. Vicky was the beloved wife of James "Jim" Rhymer. They were united in marriage on May 15, 1965, in Sioux City and were blessed with three children. She was a hardworking homemaker and a former employee at Beano and Sherry's in North Sioux City, SD. During her time at Beano and Sherry's, she made many lifelong friends.

Throughout her life, Vicky was known for her dedication to her family and her passion for music. Music played a significant role in her life, and she found joy in singing and dancing. One of her proudest accomplishments was being a part of the Vicky Lee Trio Band alongside her husband and brother. Vicky also took great pride in caring for her family with love and devotion.

Vicky's memory will forever be cherished by her surviving family members, including her three children: Jeffrey Rhymer, Rhonda Luesebrink (Mike), and Jeremy Rhymer; seven grandsons: Adam Rhymer, Alex Rhymer, Jacob Luesebrink (Taylor), Daniel Luesebrink (Jacey), Max Luesebrink (fiancé Sarah Torres), Liam Rhymer, and Dylan Rhymer; two great-grandchildren: Emma Luesebrink and Beau Luesebrink; four siblings: Ron McKewon (Bonnie), Lyle McKewon (Tanya), Pam Lillie (Mike), and Cody Coughlin (Vince); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim who passed away on October 1, 2023.

A visitation for Vicky will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel (822 Jennings St.) in Sioux City.
