These honorary pallbearers represent the close friends Vicki called family. Her fun-loving nature and ability to form lifelong bonds brought countless people into her circle, and they will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
Vicki was born on May 16, 1955 in Sioux City, Iowa to Eugene and Norma Jean (Clayton) Beck. Vicki was known for her big heart and generous spirit. She never met a stranger and had a way of making everyone feel like family. She had a special gift for “adopting” others as her own, treating friends, neighbors, and anyone in need like one of her own children. Her house was always full of laughter, love, and a feeling of home for all who walked through the door.
Vicki was also known for being cool and straightforward—she told it like it was but always with a kind heart. She was fun-loving, down-to-earth, and just plain real. Her family loved how she stayed young at heart, even getting a tattoo with her husband Carlos and grandsons Matthew and Kenneth to commemorate her favorite saying: “Love you, ‘round the world and back.” It was a phrase she said often to those closest to her, and it perfectly summed up how much she cared for the people in her life.
Vicki worked for Family Health of Siouxland, where her caring nature shone through in all she did. She loved baking, camping, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She was the kind of person who made every moment count and brought joy to even the smallest occasions. Her fun-loving spirit and the love she poured into everyone she met will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, Carlos Baisden; her daughter, Mandi (Matt) Schulte; her son, Karlis (Vanessa) Baisden; her grandchildren, Matthew and Kenneth Ohrazda, Victoria (Tyler) Zwanziger, Adrieaunna and Ahleasesia Evans, Talayla, and Addalei Baisden; and her great-grandchildren, Johnathan, Lilliana, and MaKenna.
Vicki was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jason Ohrazda, and her parents.
