  Valerie Elsie McAllister (nee Goodwin), 59, Passed away on April 16,2024 after a long b battle with cancer. Her final moments were spent peacefully surrounded by family and close friends.

  She was born to parents Edward and Carol Goodwin on July 13, 1964, in Sioux city, IA. She attended Jefferson high school and worked as a housekeeper.

  Known for her generous heart and laughter, those who knew her well knew her love for Taz and roses. She loved to go camping and fishing with family and anytime she got to spend wither family. Valeries family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life not the sadness of her passing. She is survived by a daughter Jessica (David) Bane of Sioux city, IA, The love of her life Mark Harveston of Sioux city, Ia. Three sisters Julia (Jim) Goodwin of Sioux city, IA, Myra Baumgartner of Sioux city, IA, Tessie Goodwin of Sioux City, IA, Two brothers Todd (Loretta) Goodwin of North Sioux city, SD, Toby Goodwin of Omaha, Ne. The favorite Aunt to ten nieces and nephews and many grand nephews and nieces. Her beloved Dog JAX and two Grand pups Zoe and Axel.

  She is preceded in death by her Grandparents Elmer (Elsie) Homer and Pete (Agnes) Goodwin, Father Edward Goodwin, Aunt Joyce Thompson, Uncle Bruce Homer, Cousin Vicki Nyreen, Stepfather Thomas Stevens.

  A Celebration of life will be held at Riverside Park Shelter 6 on May 5,2024 from 12 – 4pm. Flowers and memorial gifts are welcome but not necessary. Any Donation can also be made to Hope Lodge or American Cancer society.
