Ursula N. Germann, 97 of Sioux City passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Arlington Place in Oelwein, Iowa with family members by her side.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Ursula’s life with us on April 25, 2025, for a Memorial Service at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel at 11:00 am with Deacon Bruce Chartier officiating, with a luncheon to follow. Family members will be present at Meyer Brothers Morningside chapel at 10:00 am prior to the Memorial Service. Interment will occur at 2:00 pm at Calvary Cemetery for those who wish to attend. Ursula was born September 21, 1927 in Sioux City, Iowa. The daughter of Antonio T. and Mary C. (Bruno) Neri. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from Central High School. She married John L. Germann Jr. on June 23, 1951 in Sioux City. She started working at Northwestern Bell telephone company right after high school and worked there 27 years. She was a member of the Cathedral Parish and involved in the choir. Ursula was a member of the Red Hat Society and the Carmelite Society.

The most important part of Ursula’s life was her family, as she was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many people. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved having family gatherings where she and relatives would make their famous burritos, stuffed peppers, and pizzas. She loved playing games and cards with family members, and also enjoyed activities such as church bingo, casinos, bowling, cooking, and drinking her wine!

Ursula was one of the most kind, caring, generous, selfless and compassionate person we have known. She always had a smile on her face and made you feel loved and accepted.

Survivors include her four sons, John Michael of Sioux City, Gerald and wife, Paula, of Waterloo, Iowa, Antonio and wife, Barbara, of Kailua, Hawaii, Gregory of Arden, NC. A brother, Phillip Neri and his wife Anita of Sioux City, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, John L Germann Jr and her parents.
