Colonel Tyrone “Ty” John Quade

On July 10, 2026 Ty’s earthly life was acquired by the highest bidder, his heavenly father. Ty’s high appraisal amount solidified a permanent seat at the right side of the auction podium where he will forever grow in value and remembrance.

Services will be held on Ty’s 85th birthday, July 17th at Meyer Brother’s Colonial Chapel, 3220 Stone Park Blvd, Sioux City, IA. Visitation will start at 10:00am with the memorial service beginning at 11:00am. Please join us for a luncheon at One Eyed Jacks from 12:00pm-1:30pm. Burial will be at Logan Park Cemetery.

Ty, the son of Edward and Frieda (Bieberman) Quade, was born on July 17, 1941 in Dubuque, Iowa. Raised on the family farm, Ty learned the value of hard work, staying true to family values and the love of the Midwest land he so dearly admired. The days of growing and exploring with his brothers, Roger and Kene and sister, Lois, deeply formed his faith and loyalty to family.

Ty’s greatest find was his one true love, Bonnie Jean Hardy. Not one to be out bid, Ty made her his wife on November 8, 1963. Together Ty and Bonnie began a beloved collection of three daughters, Suzanne, Stacey and Taryn all of which came with a firm “Not for Sale”.

As dedicated, practiced and determined pickers, Ty and Bonnie happily came across a rare find...too good to pass up...a whole unique set of grandchildren, lovingly tagged as Elizabeth, Charles, Rachael, Austin, Sam, Claire, Maya, Zach, Jazlyn and Jessa. With their bid number held high, they were once again the winning bidders on three great grandchildren, Jack, Owen and Sullivan.

Ty graduated from Dubuque High School and furthered his education by attending the University of Wisconsin-Platteville (class of 1962). He pursued his true passion by attending auctioneer school which lead him on many adventures and created numerous lasting friendships.

Ty’s time with us was truly a fair trade deal. He was given to us to love, learn from, grow with, laugh with and to create everlasting memories with. In order for him to further gain value it was time to trade him back to his original maker.

Now, it’s the time for the last call which will be held at the great auction house in the heavens.

Ty is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Bonnie, his daughters, Suzanne (Darrin), Stacey (Craig) and Taryn, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, his sister Lois Pearce (Doug), sister’s-in-law, Pat Quade and Betty Quade, brother-in-law Rob Hardy (Carol) and numerous nieces and nephews.
