Trudie Marie Johnson, 68 of Sioux City, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2026. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026 from Noon to 2:30 P.M. with a Time of Sharing Memories at 1:30 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel.

Trudie was born in Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and C. Marie (Irwin) Rion. She spent most of her life in Sioux City but also lived in Alaska for a number of years. She spent her final two years in California as it was her wish to be near her grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved dearly.

Trudie was an avid bowler and dart player. She spent many years on bowling and dart leagues in Sioux City. She loved crocheting and arts and crafts and was very good at both.

Trudie is survived by her daughter, Melody Huapaya; son, Daniel Johnson Jr.; grandchildren, Xylina, Ariel, Ricardo Jr., Yxandria, Julissa, Daniel III, and Jenna; great grandchildren, Nathan, Zxandyr, Enzo, Jonathan, Guillermo, Azazel, Kataleya, and Ximena. She also has 3 great grandchildren on the way, Lina; Selah and a great grandson that name has not yet been determined. Living siblings, sisters, Darsie Rion and Berta Eslinger - both younger than her.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, James Arthur Rion who was younger and Artie Norris who was the oldest sibling.
