Travis L. Cooper

Travis L. Cooper, 43, of Dakota City, Nebraska died Friday, May 30, 2025 peacefully at home following a battle with cancer. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with Pastor Fred Sundt officiating. Burial will follow at Dakota City Cemetery, Dakota City, Nebraska. Visitation, with the family present, will begin at 10:00 a.m. Thursday before the service.

Travis was born on September 9, 1981 in Sioux City, Iowa to Cecil E. and Marilyn (Derby) Cooper. He loved to draw, especially cartoon characters, loved walking, and listening to only country music! Travis was a big movie buff, and enjoyed camping, playing computer games, and taking long bike rides.

Travis is survived by his father Cecil Cooper; sister Lindsy Cooper, nephew Darius Cooper, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Travis was preceded in death by his mother, grandpa Cecil Cooper, grandma Josephine Cooper, grandma Julia Derby, grandpa Lowell Derby, and great-grandma Ester McCue.
