Tom Wamberg

   Thomas Clyde Wamberg, 71, of North Sioux City, SD passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at his residence.

   Abiding by his wishes, cremation has taken place and private family services will be held. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel assisted with arrangements.

   Tom, the son of Darrell and Roena (Cook) Wamberg, was born March 5, 1951 in Sioux City, IA. He grew up and attended school in the Sioux City area. At age 19, Tom enlisted in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War until his honorable discharge on December 15, 1971. He returned to make his home in Sioux City. Throughout the years, Tom worked at Boswell Construction, was a machinist at Sioux Tools for over eighteen years, worked at Gateway and finished his career at Wells Blue Bunny. His hobbies included fishing, camping, and going to the casino.

   Tom married Linda K. Henshaw in Sioux City and this union was blessed with one son, Jason. Linda passed away in 1985.

   Tom was united in marriage to Debra Sue Skoglund on November 9, 1991 in Elk Point, SD and he became a stepfather to her son, John. Deb passed away on December 1, 2013.

   Tom is survived by his son, Jason (Chastey Hansen) Wamberg of Salix, IA; stepson, John Skoglund of North Sioux City, SD; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; two brothers: Steve Wamberg of Florida and Robert (Kim) Wamberg of Colorado; two sisters: Judy (Randy) Bennett of Kansas and Kathy (Jim) Keairns of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents and both of his spouses.
