Timothy “Tim” Miller December 8, 1967 – October 18, 2025
Timothy “Tim” Miller, of Dakota City, Nebraska, passed away on October 18, 2025, at the age of 57.
Born on December 8, 1967, in Sioux City, Iowa, Tim lived a life defined by service, humor, and generosity. He proudly served his country in both the Iowa Army National Guard and the United States Air Force. Following his military service, he continued his commitment to helping others as a firefighter for the City of South Sioux City, where he served with courage and dedication until retiring due to injury. He later built a successful career in the networking and technology field, where his love of tinkering with computers continued to shine.
To know Tim was to experience his quick wit and immediate humor—whether you had known him for 30 seconds or twenty years, he could make you laugh. He was stubborn in the best way: determined, loyal, and always ready to lend a hand. Tim was the kind of man who would give you the shirt off his back or drop everything to help someone in need, always taking the time to walk you through whatever problem you faced.
Tim is survived by his sister Christine Bauer and her husband Dennis Bauer; his son Andrew Miller and wife Mystique; his grandchildren Samuel Miller, Spencer Miller, and Shawn Winters; and his nieces and nephews Jennifer Smith, Sarah Neiheisel, Jacob Smith, David Bauer, and Tom Bauer. He was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed.
A service will be held at a later date to celebrate Tim’s life and the many ways he touched those around him.
