Terry J. Soelberg, 88, of Sioux City passed away Sunday, November 1, 2026. Abiding by her wishes, cremation will take place. Burial will be in the Soelberg family plot at Graceland Park Cemetery.

Terry was born on August 10, 1938, in Sioux City, Iowa. The daughter of Carlton A. Soelberg Sr. and Arleen V. (Jacobsen) Soelberg. She was educated in Sioux City schools and in Racine, Wisconsin until the ninth grade when she moved back to Sioux City in 1949. After graduating from Central High School in 1956, she spent one year at Morningside College and the next three years at the University of Iowa. She became a surgical nurse, working in the ENT surgical unit at the University of Iowa Hospital.

Terry married John J. Kaufman, a Chicago attorney; they lived in McHenry, Illinois and had two daughters, Kim D. Wood and Kathy H. Beebe. After divorcing John, she lived outside Washington D.C. in Falls Church, VA. She worked as an assistant lobbyist for the National Aviation Trade Association in D.C. Then she became a licensed realtor and worked for Merrill Lynch Relocation in D.C. and New York and completed her career with Marriott relocation at the headquarters in Maryland. She retired from Marriott in 2003 and moved back to Sioux City to care for her aged mother. After her mother died, she bought a house and remained in Sioux City.

Survivors are Kim D. Wood and Kathy H. Beebe; and grandsons, Chris, Cody, Kyle, Tyler, and Ryan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Carl Soelberg Jr.
