Terry A. Pedersen

  Terry A. Pedersen, 76, of Jackson, Nebraska, passed away on Friday, August 4, 2023 at a local hospital. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Jackson. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in rural Jackson. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., with a Vigil at 7:00 p.m., on Thursday evening at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

  Terry was born on May 26, 1947, the son of Louis and Alice (Wenther) Pedersen. He attended Jackson and South Sioux City schools, graduating from South Sioux City High School. He spent his entire life in rural Jackson, working on the farm with his father, Louis, his son, Kevin, and his grandson, Ryan. He loved to spend time working in the shop and calling to chat with friends.

  He always had to stay up to date with the day-to-day work on the farm, ending each morning meeting with “Now wait a minute…”

  He is survived by his son, Kevin Pedersen; one daughter; six grandchildren: Ryan (Madelyn) Pedersen, Austin (Jessica) Brewer, Zach (Kelsey) Brewer, Nick Brewer, Josh Brewer, and Emilee Brewer; many great-grandchildren; and his dog, Zeek.

  He was preceded in death by his parents: Louis and Alice Pedersen; a sister; one granddaughter; and his dog, Roscoe.

  Pallbearers will be Kevin Pedersen, Ryan Pedersen, Matt Roost, Tom Twohig, Sr., Dan Twohig, and Wayne Knudsen.

  Honorary pallbearers will be Austin Brewer, Tom Twohig, Jr., Butch Boyle, Mike Rohan, K.C. Larson, and Samuel Burki.
