Terry L. Baxter

Terry L. Baxter, 73 of Sioux City, passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at a local hospital. No public services will be held. Online condolences may be directed to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Terry was born on May 27, 1947 in Sioux City, the son of Burdette and Lola (Johnston) Baxter. He attended Sioux City schools, and graduated from East High School. He married Lois Mary James and the two were married for 20 years.

Terry lived most of his life in Sioux City, but spent some years in South Sioux City, Nebraska as well. He spent his working years as a siding applicator, eventually going on to own his own business in the industry. He served our nation as a member of the United States Army from 1966 to 1969, after which he returned home to Sioux City.

Survivors include his brothers: Dan and Rick Baxter; sister, Sherry Leaverton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mary James.
