Terri Lynn Moreau, a compassionate soul known for unwavering dedication to caring for others, has peacefully passed away after a lengthy illness at the age of 66 in Sioux City on August 4, 2024, at a local hospital.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2024, at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Visitation with the family will be Thursday, August 8, 2024, from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in Salix, IA.
Born on November 7, 1957, in Augsburg, Germany, the daughter of Robert William and Alice Marie (Flaa) Flanders. She attended West High School. She married Matt Moreau on September 18, 2010, in Lewis, Iowa. After receiving her healthcare aide certification, Terri devoted 13 years of her life as a caregiver at Cass County Memorial Hospital before continuing her noble work at St. Luke's Home Health Care. Her commitment to helping those in need left a mark on all who knew and loved her.
Apart from her professional endeavors, Terri valued her family above all else. Her boys were her life. She found immense joy in capturing precious moments with loved ones through photography and treasured each family gathering and annual circus outings with her grandchildren.
Terri's adventurous spirit led her to explore the world through walks, travels, and road trips along scenic backroads with Matt. She had a keen eye for hidden gems at flea markets and embraced the simple pleasures of life with enthusiasm.
Terri is survived by her beloved husband, Matt Moreau of Sioux City; her boys: Jason (Rita) Freimark of San Antonio, TX; Tony Freimark of Atlantic, IA; and Matt Traver (Jenny Paulson) of Brayton, IA. She is also survived by her father, Robert "Bob" Flanders; grandchildren: Sarah (Dohn) Vo, William Freimark (Maria Parker), Mariah Traver, Jason Freimark Jr., Skylar Traver, and Jazmin Traver; great-grandchildren: Ariel Vo, Aurora Vo, Patience Freimark, and Gianna Freimark; siblings: Michael (Kim) Flanders of Sioux City; Terri's twin sister Toni Lauer of South Sioux City; Matt Flanders of Atlantic, IA; Martina (Florencio) Macias of Sioux City; and Jim (Debra) Flanders of Sioux Falls, SD; brother-in-law Don Marshall; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Terri was preceded in death by her mother Alice Flanders, sister Kelly Jo Marshall, brother William “Bill” Flanders, and brother-in-law Wesley Lauer.
