Ted Eugene Frerichs

   Ted Eugene Frerichs, 58, of Waterbury, NE, passed away peacefully August 3^rd, 2023, at the home of his brother and sister-in-law in Waterbury after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer. 

   Ted was born March 22, 1965, in Ft Worth, TX to the late Fred Frerichs and Marlene Roby.  His family moved to Page, NE when he was a child. He graduated from O’Neill High School in 1983 and moved to Denver where he spent many years working in home construction. He moved back to Nebraska in 2014 and began working with his brother Steve building bridges. He continued working until April 2023. 

   Ted is survived by his mother Marlene Roby of Spencer, NE; sons: Shaun (Priscilla) of Newland, NC, Mathew (Melissa) of Lochbuie, CO, and Keith of Milwaukee, WI; 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers: Rob of Denver, CO, and Steve (Rebecca) of Waterbury; 2 nieces; and 4 nephews along with aunts; uncles; and many cousins. 

   Ted’s favorite time of year was Memorial Day weekend when the family would gather together in Niobrara for their annual fishing vacation. His memorial service will be held there next May, when the trees are blooming, his beloved birds are singing, and the catfish are running. The family would like to thank everyone for their visits, calls, cards and text. They were greatly appreciated.
