Tayce Sonichsen, 32 of Sioux City, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022 at his residence. A Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel with Pastor David Moore officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. Saturday until the time of the service at the funeral home. Tayce was born on June 28, 1989 in Sioux City, Iowa to Troy D. and Janine J. (Winterfeld) Sonichsen. He worked at Tri-State Pool & Property Maintenance. Tayce was a proud Dad with three amazing boys. He enjoyed spending time with his children, and they were his proudest moments. Tayce was a fun-loving man, with a strong influence on so many people. He cared about his friends and family, and reached out to anyone who he felt was in need. His caring was unconditional, from his heart, and endless. Tayce was proud of his faith in Jesus Christ and often shared his faith, belonging to Glad Tidings Lighthouse.
Tayce loved riding motorcycles, sitting around the campfire with friends and family, along with taking an interest in writing and producing music. But he found his greatest joy in his three boys, which were the center of his life.
Tayce is survived by his parents of Sioux City, Iowa; three sons, Tavian, Liam, and Xander Sonichsen, all of Sioux City, sister Jessica (Brent) West of Fremont, Nebraska; four nephews and two nieces, grandparents Caron and Roger Sonichsen of Alcester, South Dakota and Phyllis Winterfeld of Sioux City, Iowa; 2 uncles, 2 aunts, and many cousins.
Tayce was preceded in death by his grandfather, Edwin Winterfeld of Ireton, Iowa
