Sue was born the daughter of Leonard and Barbara Jean (Christiansen) Adamski on August 12, 1948 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Bishop Heelan High School in 1966. Sue married Paul E. “Butch” Wermes on November 8, 1969 and together they had a daughter, Kristin. Butch passed away in 2003.

Sue took care of the books at the family business, Don’s Auto Center in Leeds. She also ran Suzi Q Nails out of her home and then later worked as a phlebotomist.

Sue enjoyed playing Farkle and searching for antiques at local secondhand stores with her buddy, Jason. She took meticulous care of her hair and nails and didn’t go anywhere without both being up to her standards. She loved her animals and always had a cat around the house.

She was an active member of St. Michael Church where she served as a Eucharistic minister, and she also helped out at Holy Spirit.

Sue is survived by her daughter, Kristin (Brad) Debban of Kenosha, Wisconsin; grandsons, Brody, Chandler, and Dylan Debban; brother, Gordon (Sandy) Adamski; and nieces, Angel (Gary), Jennifer, and Kristi (Jake).

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Butch; and dear friend, Sister Colane Recker.
