Sue Roby-McComas (Caskey), formerly of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on September 8, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her loved ones.

Sue spent most of her younger years in Sioux City. She attended Central High School and Western Iowa Tech Community College. She worked various jobs throughout her life, but her true passion was childcare. She loved caring for children, which she did for many years.

Sue met and married Ronald Roby on February 9, 1974. Together, they had two children, Larry Roby and Kimberly Roby-Kilitz. After 11 years, they moved their family to Veneta, Oregon, where they enjoyed the mountains, camping, and fishing. Ron passed away on December 31, 2009. A few years later, Sue met and married Clifford McComas. They shared a love of camping and fishing and spent many happy years together.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Helen Caskey; her brother, Eldon G. Caskey; and his wife, Cathy.

She is survived by her son, Larry; her daughter, Kimberly, and her husband, Jason; six grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her two brothers, Dannie and Larry Caskey; and four sisters, Debby Rosemeyer, Barbara Sanford and her husband, James, and Tanya Caskey and Kay and her husband Paul Welch.

Sue was a kind and caring person who will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who knew her.
