Sue M. Dykstra, 70 of Sioux City, IA peacefully passed away surrounded by family, on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Sue was born to Elizabeth “Betty” Bresnan and Harold “Pete” Ronnfeldt on March 10, 1955 in Emerson, NE. She graduated from South Sioux City High School and obtained her nursing degrees at WITCC. Sue was an RN and dedicated caregiver at St Luke’s Hospital in Sioux City, Hospice of Siouxland and retired from Family Health Care of Siouxland.

Sue enjoyed her flowers and gardening plus many trips with girlfriends to a wide variety of locations. Two of her greatest loves were her niece and nephew, Mary and John Ronnfeldt. She was a very special aunt and dearly loved.

Sue is survived by her brother Joe (Cecelia) Ronnfeldt, niece Mary Ronnfeldt and nephew John Ronnfeldt. She was preceded in death by her parents, Betty and Harold Ronnfeldt, and her brother, Peter Ronnfeldt.
