Sr. Mary Rose Nadackal

Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Holy Spirit Chapel in Sioux City. There will be a prayer service starting at 10:15 a.m. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements.

Sr. Mary Rose Nadackal, 65, of Holy Spirit Sisters, Sioux City passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at Holy Spirit Retirement Home.

Sr. Rose was born on October 27, 1957, in Kerala, India. She was the daughter of Mathew and Ann. She joined Holy Spirit Religious Order in 1978 and she made her Perpetual Vows on December 15, 1987. She graduated in India as a Registered Nurse.

Sr. Rose arrived in the USA in 1996, and worked in Holy Spirit Retirement Home in Sioux City. She was also elected as Provincial superior for six years.

She enjoyed music, baking, being hospitable to all. She attracted many with her contagious smile. Sr. Rose was prayerful person and she had a special devotion to Blessed Mother.

Survivors include: two brothers and four sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents Mathew and Ann, and her brother Sebastian.
