Sharen Jean Massey, 86, of South Sioux City, Nebraska, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, following a battle with pancreatic cancer. In accordance with Sharen's wishes, no services will be held.

Sharen was born on October 28, 1939, in Tilton, Nebraska, where she was raised and attended school.

She was first married to Dennis Kallhoff, who preceded her in death. On February 14, 2020, she married Gary Massey, and they shared many happy years together.

Sharen devoted 33 years of service to IBP. Following her retirement, she worked at Goodwill, a position she greatly enjoyed. She appreciated the opportunity to stay active and the friendships she made there.

She is survived by her husband, Gary Massey; her son, Kevin Kallhoff of Iowa; and other relatives and friends who will cherish her memory.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Dennis Kallhoff.

Memorials may be directed to the South Sioux City Humane Society in lieu of flowers or gifts.

The family extends their sincere appreciation to the hospice team for the compassionate care and support they provided to Sharen during her final journey.
