Sharon Kay Evans, 76, of Sioux City, IA, passed away at home with her husband by her side on March 23, 2023. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be at a later date. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel is handling the arrangements. Sharon was born on June 24, 1946 in Sioux City, IA to Raymond and DeEtta (Christiansen) Mincer. She graduated from East High School in 1964. She was united in marriage to Gary Evans on January 16, 1979. Together they belonged to the Sioux City Corvette Club and enjoyed going to car shows and cruise nights. They also liked traveling to Las Vegas to play slots and Harrah’s in Council Bluffs. Sharon was a huge Elvis fan.
Sharon worked as a bookkeeper for multiple businesses in Siouxland for over 50 years; including Sioux Bee Honey, Family Practice and Kalin’s Indoor Comfort.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Gary Evans, Sioux City, IA; son, Jim (TJ) LeMoine, Sioux City, IA, children: Judy (Chris) Church, Sioux City, IA, Jeanne (Steve Luft) Evans, South Sioux City, NE, Jim (Cathy) Evans, Omaha, NE, Janet (Steve) Pettersson, Sioux City, IA; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond (Vicky) Mincer, Bella Vista, AK.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Dennis Mincer.
