Shannon L. Bartle

Shannon L. Bartle, 56 of South Sioux City passed away Tuesday, November 19, 2024 after a lengthy cancer battle. A memorial visitation will be Saturday, November 23, 2024 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 2:00 P.M. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Shannon was born the son of Jacqueline Bartle on February 10, 1968 in Sioux City, Iowa. He graduated from West High School in 1986. Shannon worked at Sue Bee Honey for almost 30 years and was the longest tenured Westside Pizza employee at 33 years.

Shannon was a car enthusiast, and particularly a Chevy car guy. He enjoyed detailing cars and racing at Park Jefferson Speedway. He took pride in his yard and loved a nice lawn. Throughout his life he had no children of his own, but he was proud to be a father figure to Hillary.

Shannon is survived by his siblings, Shellie (Sean) Lewis, Jeanette (Michael) Pence, Amanda (Ryan) Lewis, and John (Alicia) Velasquez; father, Douglas Lewis; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother.
