She is remembered for her unwavering strength and spirit, qualities that were shaped by a tough upbringing. Throughout her life, Sarah exhibited remarkable resilience and an enduring love for those around her.
Sarah grew up in Sioux City and attended West High School. Throughout the years, she worked in retail at different businesses. However, it was in her role as a mother that she truly loved. Her daughters, Karah, age 9, and Kamille, age 4, were the center of her universe. Sarah's life revolved around them, and her pride in them was immeasurable.
Those who knew Sarah will forever cherish the memories of her loving nature and commitment to her family and friends. She possessed a remarkable ability to uplift and support those in her life, always having their backs. Sarah’s love extended beyond her family to all animals, reflecting her deep empathy for all living beings.
Sarah is survived by the love of her life, Mark Leighton; her cherished daughters, Karah and Kamille and their grandma and grandpa, Patti Olson (Ken Beekley). Her passing has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her.
Friends and family are invited to honor Sarah’s life during visitation on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel, located at 6200 Morningside Ave, Sioux City, IA 51106.
