Roseanna Marie Ackerly (nee. Clark), 62, of Sioux City, Iowa, transitioned to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 27th at Mercy One hospital. She died of acute respiratory failure, an ongoing battle with cancer and lupus.
Born in Newport, Rhode Island, she went to Newport public schools.
In February of 1988 she married Robert Franklin Ackerly. Unto that union, that had a daughter. July Earlene (Ackerly) Huseman whom was raised in Newport, Rhode Island until 1978 when the family moved to Fairfield, Iowa. From there they moved to Menomonee, Michigan and finally decided to settle in Sioux City, Iowa.
Roseanna became disabled in but it didn't stop her from doing what she loved which included working odd end jobs.
She loved gardening, hanging with her grandchildren, heated politic debates, playing keno at Dakota Rose, and we can't forget her cup of tea and Oreos every morning.
Roseanna is preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Carman Clark; brothers, John and Bille; and sister, Cindy.
She is survived by her husband, Robert; daughter, July (Brandon) Huseman; brother, Kenneth (Helen) Clark; grandchildren, Bobby, Natalee, Tristian, Hunter, Jax, Ahriya and Chevaya; best friends, Emma Rooney and Peggy Stevens; dogs, Ruby, Daisy and Packer; and great grand puppies, Winnie and Koda.
