Ronald G. Will, 91 departed this life Saturday, September 20, 2025 and went to be with his Savior after a short illness. A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 26, 2025 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with 7:00 P.M. prayer service at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Ron was born September 15, 1934 in Sioux City. He married Sally Ann Hennis October 1, 1954. She died May 19, 1991. He married Dorothy Stephany July 10, 1993. Ron graduated as class president from Leeds High School in 1952, the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin in 1969 and The National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma in 1975. He was employed at Toy National Bank for 35 years and Norwest Bank for 10 years retiring in 1997. He was a member and past president of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, past president and member of the Sioux City Noon Lions Club, and member of SCORE. He was a past president and board member of the Better Business Bureau, past treasurer and board member of Sioux City Concert Course. He served on the boards of STARS and Siouxland Economic Development Corporation. Ron was also recognized by Governor Branstad as a State of Iowa Volunteer. He also volunteered with Hospice of Siouxland and Mercy Medical Center. Ron made many friends over the years, and he always enjoyed a good joke, his bridge group and his golf group.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice or St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his loving wife Dorothy; a brother, Richard of Sioux City; sister, Ruth Hultgren (Paul) of Sioux Falls, SD; stepchildren, Lisa Stephany (Rod Thompson) of Ankeny, IA, Scott Stephany (Diane) of Huxley, IA, Linda Wilker (Max) of Urbandale, IA, Lori Bremer of Apple Valley, MN and Lea Ann DeLeon (Jack) of Des Moines; and much loved grandchildren, Katie Miller (Joel), Nathan Stephany, Rachel Stephany, Emma Wilker and Sophi Wilker; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Rose Will; first wife, Sally Ann; sister, Joan McGaffey; sister-in-law, Therese Will; nephew, Randy McGaffey; niece, Karla Will; and son-in-law, Kurt Bremer.
