Ronald A. Mathison (aka Big Boy)

Ronald “Ronnie” A. Mathison (aka Big Boy), 58, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2024. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Siouxland Center For Active Generations - 313 Cook St. Sioux City, IA 51103.

Ronnie was born November 4, 1965 in Sioux City, the son of Robert Sr. and Constance (Metcalf) Mathison. He worked many different driving jobs from taxi driver to delivery guy. He also dressed up as Santa Claus for many years. Ronnie loved to fish and hunt; he was a real outdoorsman. He was a man with no ends to how big his heart was.

Those left to honor his memory are his sisters, Debra Elgert and Julia Mathison, brothers Robert Mathison Jr. and Ryan Mathison; and lots of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
