Ronald Lee
Kreegar, Jr
March 29, 1967 – March 15, 2026
Ronald Lee Kreegar, Jr., 58 of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at the Park View Homes. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 19, 2026 at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel with Patty Meyer officiating. Interment will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Jackson, Nebraska. Visitation, with the family present, will begin at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, prior to the service.
As a child, Ronnie loved playing football and tag with his siblings and cousins. He developed a life-long love of country music and could watch NASCAR races for hours on end. Despite his earthly challenges, Ronnie lived a life of joy and celebration, teaching his family and friends the true meaning of resilience and love. While many would say his smile lit up a room, it was his charm that left a lasting impression. He could convince anyone that it was time for a sweet treat or soda.
Ronnie is proceeded in death by his grandparents; Mildred & Frank Borton, Morris & Eloise Kreegar; step grandparents Delphine & Forrest “Frosty” Kuehl; uncles James Borton and Michael A. Kreegar; aunts Mildred Haver, Francine Winters, and Rebecca Kreegar.
He is survived by his mother Diana (Joe) Kuehl, his father Ronald (Levy) Kreegar, Sr., his siblings Michael (Carla) Kreegar and Teresa (Tim) Springer and step siblings Kim (Steve) Chitwood, Wade Kuehl, and Lynn (Jason) Johansen as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
A special thank-you to Ronnie’s Big Brother and Park View Homes Supervisor Thomas Hackett, the many group home residents who are part of Ronnie’s chosen family, and the Hospice of the Midwest staff for their care and support through his cancer journey.
