Ronald D. Hacker

Ronald D. Hacker, 70, of Sioux City, formerly of Andrews, NC and Lafayette, IN, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019 after injuries suffered in an automobile accident on July 26.  A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, August 4th from 10 - 12:00 P.M., with military honors to follow at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Ron was born on May 11, 1949 in Rock Island, IL to James and Arthelma (Laflen) Hacker.  Ron lived most of his life in Lafayette, IN.  He was united in marriage to Glenda “Lorene” Allen on April 9, 1977 in North Carolina.  It was there that the couple made their home.  Ron worked as a truck driver and as a letter carrier for the US Postal Service.  He enjoyed fishing, yard work, spending time with his family and watching wrestling on TV.  

Those left to honor his memory include his wife Lorene, Sioux City, IA; daughters:  Tabitha Parker, Sioux City, IA, Taronda Urbanec, Sioux City, IA and Emily Corey, KY; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Pam Hamilton, Lafayette, IN.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson and several brothers and sisters.
