Ronald G. “Ron” Bauder, 73 of South Sioux City passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2023. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Community of Christ Church in Sloan. Ron was born the son of Willie and Helen (Renkel) Bauder on July 6, 1950 in Sioux City, Iowa. He was raised in the Marcus, Cleghorn area. Ron married Deborah Miller in February of 1974. They made their home in South Sioux City. Ron worked for ADM for nearly 40 years until his retirement.

The center of Ron’s life was his family. He enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, who lovingly called him, Pops. He enjoyed watching pro wrestling, NASCAR, and Husker football. Ron will be fondly remembered as a man of few words, when he had something to say you needed to listen and take note as he wasn’t about repeating himself, a quiet man with such a presence.

Ron honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971.

Ron is survived by his wife, Deborah Bauder of South Sioux City; children, Jason Bauder of South Sioux City and Jennifer (Richard) Benjamin of Sloan; grandchildren, Christian (Jessica) Keck, Jordyn Keck, Alexis Benjamin, Blake Benjamin, Rhealeigh Bauder, Leo, Piper, Emma, and Ian Bauder; and great-granddaughter, Abigail Benjamin-Norris.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica Bauder; and brothers, Jim and Earl Bauder.
