Robert “Bob” Edward Corrie, 82, of rural Oto, IA, passed away with his family by his side on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at his residence.

Abiding by Bob’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and no services are planned. Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City is assisting with arrangements.

Robert “Bob”, the son of John and Margaret (Bronson) Corrie, was born September 18, 1941, in Sacramento, CA. Bob grew up in Sacramento and after graduating from high school he joined the United States Air Force. He served in Vietnam working in telecommunications. He met his first wife Nancy (Worswick) in England and they later married in London and had two children Robyn Ellis and husband Ryan and David Corrie and wife Teresa. They lived in various places, traveling for his many military assignments.

Bob met Patricia “Pat” (Crawford) in Tucson, AZ while working at IBM and they married in 1991 in Le Mars, IA and he inherited four more children Donnie Poulson and wife Elizabeth, Stacey Poulson, Michelle Smith and husband Larry, and Todd Poulson and wife Janelle. Together they moved to Climbing Hill, IA where they resided for the last 31 years.

Bob’s passion was water purification and was affectionately know as “the water guy.” He worked for Multipure enjoying many friendships along the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Patricia “Pat”, one brother William Corrie and wife Kathi; 15 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.
