Robert “Bob” Knudsen passed away peacefully at home on Monday, September 28, 2026.

Visitation will be Monday, October 5, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. A Funeral service will follow on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Robert was born on June 4, 1940, in Jackson, NE, to Louis and Fern (Chapman) Knudsen. He was raised in Jackson. During his teenage years, Bob earned his private pilot’s license. He graduated from South Sioux City High School. Bob also served with the Army National Guard.

Bob married Carolyn Easton in September of 1961. They eventually made their home on a farm at Hubbard, NE. Bob also raced stock cars and served as a 4-H leader for many years.

He farmed for many years. After retiring from farming, Bob made his living by driving truck and hauling grain.

Bob’s favorite pastimes included hunting and fishing, music, and playing cards. He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Bob was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn, and his son, Rob. Survivors include one sister of Jackson; his daughter, Becky, of Hubbard; grandchildren, Ryan (Kayla), Kayla, Katelyn, Isaiah, Jacob, and Hannah. Bob was also a great-grandfather to six girls.
