Rick "Rocky" A. Rockwell

Rick "Rocky" A. Rockwell, 65, of Jefferson, South Dakota, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, in Sioux City, Iowa. He was born on September 3, 1959, in Sioux City, to the late Junior and Madelynne (Henderson) Rockwell. Rick grew up in Sioux City and graduated from West High School with the Class of 1977. He dedicated 35 years of his life to a successful career as a delivery driver for UPS, where he was known for his remarkable safe driving record, showcasing his work ethic and commitment to his responsibilities.

On October 27, 1978, Rick was united in marriage to Lynette M. Lewis, with whom he built a loving and supportive family. Together, they welcomed three children: Wendi, Brian, and Dana.

Rick was known for his stubborn yet endearing nature, always ready with a tease or a joke to lighten the mood around him. His friends and family appreciated his hardworking spirit and unwavering loyalty. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, working in his yard, fishing, and pheasant hunting. A passionate sports fan, Rick loved watching the Iowa State Cyclones. Additionally, his enthusiasm for hot rods was a significant part of his life.

Rick is survived by his devoted wife, Lynette, and their three children: Wendi (John) Crandell of Ravenna, Ohio; Brian (Lauren) Rockwell of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; and Dana (Mike) Siebrecht of Redfield, South Dakota and his six grandchildren: Hannah, Cara, and Brenna Crandell, Ada and Emma Rockwell, and Payne Siebrecht. He was preceded in death by his parents, Junior and Madelynne Rockwell, and his brother, Randy Rockwell, along with a sister in infancy, Suzanne Rockwell.

A visitation to honor Rick’s life will be held at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City on Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This will be followed by a funeral service at the same location on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 1:30 PM.
