Ricardo "Ricky" Magana - Gonzalez

Ricardo “Ricky” Magana-Gonzalez, 14, of South Sioux City, passed away Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at his home after battling a life-long genetic epilepsy disorder.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, December 23, 2023, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  Visitation with the family will be Friday, December 22, 2023, from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. and a Vigil Service at 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.  Burial will be at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.  Online condolences may be given at www.meyerbroschapels.com.

Ricky was born April 20, 2009, in Sioux City, the son of Alejandro Magana and Luz Gonzalez.  He was enrolled at South Sioux City High School and was this year a freshman.  Ricky loved action movies, going outside to listen to his windchimes, and being around family and his beloved nurse, care giver, and 2^nd mom, Brittany Cory.

Ricky is survived by his parents Alejandro Magana and Luz Gonzalez; brothers:  Alex and Angelo Magana; sister:  Viviana Magana; maternal grandparents Efrain and Maria Luisa Gonzalez; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; his beloved cats:  Leo, Bella, Max, Luna, and Louie; and his beloved dog Milo.

Ricky was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Rigoberto and Maria Magana.
