Renee, was a stay at home mother and later owner of "No Place/Corner" bar and a life long resident of Sioux City, Iowa. Renee died after a brief illness at Unity Point Health Hospital in Sioux City, Iowa.
Renee is survived by her husband Bruce Hines, her children, Emery Hines, Bradley Hines, Crystal Clark (Jim), Lindsey Schmuck (Jeff), Kirk Hines (Angelique), a brother Kent Vickery (Cheryl), sister-in-laws, Elsie Esquivel-Hines (Ramiro), Gail Hines-Soto (Ramon), Ann Hines, Angela Godfrey, Harley Godfrey, Karen Vickery, brother-in-laws Steve Sachen (Becky), Claude Andrada Jr. (Rudy), her grandchildren Arianna Hines, Bradley Hines Jr., Emma and Ella Ketchelos, Brooklyn and Brynn Schmuck, Patrick and Ben Hines, great-grandchild Rosianna Hines, numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her father Gordon Vickery and her mother Gwendolyn Vickery, Father-in-law Emery Hines Sr. and Mother-in-law Marvene Hines, brothers Kenneth Vickery, Keith Vickery, Kevin Vickery, and her sister Becky Sachen.
Renee was born on November 11, 1956 to Gordon and Gwen Vickery in Chester, PA. She graduated from East High School in Sioux City, Iowa in 1974. After graduation she worked briefly before meeting the love of her life Bruce Hines. They were united in marriage on February 1, 1984 at the Cathedral of the Epiphany in Sioux City, Iowa. Together they welcomed five children Emery, Bradley, Crystal, Lindsey and Kirk. Her family was the center and most important thing in her life.
Renee was a devoted wife and mother. Growing up in several small towns in Iowa before moving to Sioux City. She enjoyed sports, playing Basketball on the varsity teams in high school. She also played flute in the bands in school. She was an extremely talented piano player. She was a very compassionate woman who through the years helped many people who were less fortunate than she. She touched countless lives and will be deeply missed those who loved her and many others who knew her.
A funeral service is scheduled for March 23rd at 11:00 AM with visitation at 10:00 AM ahead of the service. It will be held at Rustin Ave. United Methodist Church, 2901 Leech Ave., Sioux City. Reverend Jill Clem officiating the service. Flowers and memorials can be sent to 5300 Stone Ave., Apt. 105, Sioux City, Iowa, 51106.
