Reinert Bernard Kvidal, 84, of Sioux City, IA passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026.

A memorial service honoring Reinert will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, April 13, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church in Sioux City. Burial with military honors will follow at Graceland Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel is assisting with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John Lutheran Church.

Reinert was born the son of John B. and E. Marie (Vemundstad) Kvidal on July 5, 1941, in Sioux City. He graduated from Central High School in 1960. Reinert honorably served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964.

He worked for Master Manufacturing for 18 years.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where he was baptized and confirmed.

Reinert enjoyed art, drawing, and television.

Reinert is survived by his nephew, David Hrdy of Washington, D.C. and one cousin, Glenn Olson of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John; sister, Mary; infant brother, John; and nephew, Jimmy Hrdy.
