Regena M. Sevier

Regena M. Sevier, 72 of South Sioux City passed away Monday, August 19, 2024. Visitation will be Monday, August 26, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at Mohr & Becker-Hunt Funeral Home in South Sioux City. A private graveside will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Regena was born the daughter of Walter and Grace (Hayes) Jenkins on April 7, 1952 in Sioux City, Iowa. She graduated from Narbonne High School in California. She had moved around in her youth but had settled and lived in South Sioux City. Regena married Jack Sevier on July 16, 2005 in Dakota City, Nebraska. 

Regena worked for Tyson Foods for 42 years until her retirement in 2022. She made many lasting friendships throughout her time there. 

She was a huge Elvis fan, loved animals and watching Christmas movies around the holidays. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and had a special bond with Jazmine who had been caring for her. 

Regena is survived by her daughter, Vanessa Garcia; grandchildren, Jazmine, Hailey, Angel, and Jordan Garcia; and sister, Wanda Brauner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack; and siblings, Harvey and Barbara.
