Randy Michael Bishop, 57, of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, in Sioux City.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. The family will greet friends during a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Logan Park Cemetery.
Randy was born on March 25, 1969, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Duvward and Wanita (Rabe) Bishop. He attended Smith and Crescent Elementary Schools, West Junior High School, and graduated from West High School.
Following graduation, Randy worked at Curly’s Foods for three years before beginning a career in the trucking industry. Over the years, he drove for several companies before fulfilling his dream of owning and operating his own business, Randy Michael Trucking. His work took him across the country, and he took great pride in the independence and freedom of life on the road.
Randy found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, playing video games with his children, and spending time around the table enjoying board games, dice, and cribbage. More than anything, Randy cherished the time he spent with his family and the memories they created together.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father, Duvward Bishop of Jefferson City, Missouri; his children, Anthony (Jacqueline) Heisterkamp of Harrisburg, South Dakota, Samantha (Daniel) Heisterkamp-Reno of St. Louis, Missouri, and Bryce Bishop and his fiancée, Amy Ruple, of Papillion, Nebraska; his beloved grandchildren, Kennedy and Nora Reno; his sisters, Jana (Randy) Rowe of Bronson, Iowa, and Ericka (Josh) Sorgdrager of Sioux City; his nieces and nephews, Chayton, Dalton, Joshua Jr., and Trinity; his aunt, Beverly Rabe, and her son, Franklin Rabe; and his lifelong best friend, affectionately known as “Uncle” Brian Zimmerman of Sioux City.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother, Wanita Bishop; his maternal and paternal grandparents; and his aunt, Janet Rabe.
