Ranae Lynn Allen, 61 of Merrill, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at the United Methodist Church in Hinton, Iowa with Pastor Beth Odor officiating.  Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Merrill, Iowa.  Visitation, with family present, will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 16th at Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel in Sioux City with a Prayer Service beginning at 7:00 p.m.  Online condolences may be offered to the family at www.meyerbroschapels.com

Ranae was born on July 31, 1962 in Sioux City, Iowa to William and Donna (Raby) Weinrich.  She received her education in the Hinton Community Schools, graduating with the Class of 1980.

Ranae was the Operations Manager at the Weinrich Truck Lines for over 30 years.  She married Bud Allen at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa on November 8, 2003; and couple made their home in Merrill, Iowa.  Ranae enjoyed her memberships to the Iowa Motor Truck Association, the American Trucking Association, and most certainly the Hinton United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed family time, camping, boating, and cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. 

Ranae is survived by her mother Donna (Jim) Weinrich-Lucht; children Heidi (Hermann) Alikpokou of Tomball, Texas, Kari (Seth) Ruchti of Tomball, Texas, Tracy (Chad) Bell of Whiting, Iowa, Jamie (Stacey) Allen of Onawa, Iowa, Heath (Heidi) Allen of Whiting, Iowa, and Nathan (Jessica) Allen of Mapleton, Iowa; grandchildren Brady, Kalie (Austin), Olivia (Selene), Taylor, Devin, Zach, Hannah, Adley, Timber, Aubrey, Sidney, Kylian, Presley, Clara, and Theo; great-grandchildren Macie, Greyson, and Rylinn; sisters Terrie (Steve) Binneboese of Hinton, Iowa, Pam (Marlin) Milton of Hinton, Iowa, and Brenda (Barry) Dittmer of Hinton, Iowa; brothers-in-law Darrell Allen of Mapleton, Iowa, and Dave (Tina) Allen; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ranae was preceded in death by her father, William Weinrich, grandparents Delbert and Clara Raby, grandmother Alma Dunnick, and her beloved husband Bud, just last year.

Casket Bearers for the service will be Kristopher Binneboese, Luke Binneboese, Jake Milton, Josh Binneboese, Tyler Milton, and Marcus Dittmer.

Memorials may be offered to the Hinton United Methodist Church, or Jesus and Me (JAM), also thru the Hinton United Methodist Church.
