Priscilla Ruth Peacock

December 20, 1941 — August 15, 2025

Sioux City, Iowa

Priscilla Ruth Peacock beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother of Sioux City, Iowa, at the age of 83, passed away peacefully after a battle with cancer on August 15, 2025.

She was born in Bellevue, Nebraska in 1941. Priscilla attended Central High School in Sioux City. On September 9, 1961, she married John Lyle Peacock (Jack), and together they shared a life of travel and adventure (wherever they went). They would be celebrating 64 years together in just a few weeks.

Priscilla was a devoted mother to Mary Beth Peacock and Amy (Peacock) Towner. She cherished her seven grandchildren, Melissa, Samantha, Jessica, Jeremy, Nicholas, Emily and Ryan and her nine great grandchildren Jaydon, Skye, Ollie, Peter, Emily, Maeve, Lillian, Meliha and Elizabeth. She worked as a bookkeeper for many years but was considered a cherished childcare provider for nearly 30 years, sharing her love with generations of young children. She always had a hug and an open lap available for the children under her care.

Priscilla was a gifted crafter and took special joy in creating her award-winning quilts and knitting projects. She enjoyed solving puzzles with Jack. She was known for her homemade pies on special occasions and had a passion for cruising. She took pleasure in her friends and bible study, and was proud of her flashy, fancy fingernails!

She is survived by her husband Jack Peacock, Mary Beth Peacock, Amy (and Jimmy) Towner, sisters Nancy Strub and Judy Olsen, brother John Frazeur and several nieces and nephews.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her parents Jesse and Helen (Covington) Frazeur, her sister Monica Berg, and a granddaughter Vylett.
