Paulette S. Derochie

December 29, 1961 — February 9, 2024

Sioux City, IA

Paulette S. Derochie, 62, of Sioux City passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at Nelson Berger Northside Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Paulette was born on December 29, 1961 in Sioux City, to Richard and Judy Derochie. She grew up in Sioux City and graduated from West High School in 1980.

She was a lifelong resident of the Sioux City area, and worked in the meat processing industry for most of her life.

In her free time, Paulette enjoyed spending time with family, fishing, cooking, and rummaging at flea markets. Her beloved cat was her baby. She loved playing with her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews as well.

She was certainly a people person. She enjoyed being around others and seeing everyone’s smiles. There was never a dull moment with Paulette and she was always the life of the party!

She is survived by her mother, Judy Derochie of Sioux City; her brother, Rusty Derochie of Sioux City; her sister, Luann Mills of Sioux City; five nieces and nephews; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; her aunt, Betty Bunch; and her cat, Luna.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Derochie.
