Patrick Anthony “Pat” Walding, 67, of Sioux City, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Services will take place at Central Baptist Church in Sioux City, with Family Visitation at 10am, followed by Celebration of Life Service at 11am. Lunch and Fellowship will follow in the church multipurpose room. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be offered to Central Baptist Church in Pat’s name. Pat was born on February 3, 1959 in Sioux City, Iowa to Bernard G and Mary Kay (Condon) Walding. He enjoyed participating in many extracurriculars, especially basketball, while attending Catholic School. Pat attended Loras College for his undergraduate degree in Biology and later earned his D.C. from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Pat met the love of his life, Becky, in 1985. They married in September of 1987.
Pat was a beloved and devoted father to 4, and grandfather to 2. He kept dozens of beautiful houseplants, which he took great pride in caring for. Pat led an active life, playing singles tennis and bicycling on the trails with friends. In his downtime, he loved cheering on the Boston Celtics and playing Bananagrams with Becky. He was a small business owner of Walding Chiropractic for over 30 years. Pat valued the deep, personal connections he made with his patients and helping them feel better.
Pat is survived by his wife Becky; his four children, Benjamin (Gabby), Hannah (Nico Huser), Samuel, and Madeline; his two grandchildren, Luke and Nora; and his siblings, Julie, Joe (Sue), Kathleen, and Ann (David) Phillips.
Pat was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Timothy.
