Patricia Ann "Pat" Wolf, 78 of Sioux City, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at a local nursing facility. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Mater Dei Parish, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Brad Pelzel as Celebrant. Mass will be live streamed at https://youtube.com/live/yftVrSRQwsU?feature=share. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Visitation will be on Monday, June 10th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with family present at 6:00 p.m. and a Vigil Service (Deacon Fred Karpuk as Prayer Leader) beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Meyer Brothers Morningside Chapel. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made to the Carmelite Monastery in Sioux City. Pat was born on March 19, 1946 in Akron, Iowa to Arthur and Wilma (Erickson) Claeys. The family lived in Akron until 1954, relocated to Fort Dodge, and moved to Sioux City in 1956. She attended Bishop Heelan High School, graduating with the Class of 1964. Pat married Ronald Wolf on May 1, 1965 in Sioux City, Iowa.
Pat relished being the only girl among six brothers, a unique position that she enjoyed throughout her life. She often shared fond memories of being the only one with her own bedroom, a small luxury she cherished. Family was central to Pat's life. She loved spending time with her family and keeping up with each of their lives. She was exceptionally proud of her grandchildren and took great pleasure in following their interests and achievements.
Pat was very social, enjoying time spent playing cards with friends and chatting on the phone. She had a passion for crocheting and found joy in creating baby blankets and prayer shawls to gift to others.
Throughout her years of babysitting, Pat touched many lives, providing care and support to numerous families. A devoted Catholic, She enjoyed serving at the Gospel Mission and cherished her valued relationship with the Carmelite nuns. Her faith was a guiding force in her life, evident in her actions and commitments.
Pat and Ron were married for 59 years, forming an inseparable pair that demonstrated deep love and devotion. Together, they created a lifetime of memories, including cherished weeks spent at the lake in Okoboji, which was always the highlight of their summers.
Pat's warmth, generosity, and faith left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
Pat is survived by her husband Ron of Sioux City; daughter Cindy Wolf of Phoenix, Arizona; son Chris (Rebecca) Wolf of Sioux City; daughter Connie (Dusky) Terry of Earlham, Iowa; daughter-in-law Gina Wolf of Salinas, California; grandchildren Tyler (Andree) Wolf of Prior Lake, Minnesota, Aubrey Wolf of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Cameron Terry of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Colten Wolf of Sioux City, Iowa, and Mia Terry of Earlham, Iowa; brothers Phyl and Don (Lisa) Claeys of Sioux City.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, son Chad Wolf, and brothers Jim, Bill, Larry, and Tom Claeys.
