Patricia “Patti Lou” Brown loving mother of four and adoring wife to Dick Brown, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family in Sioux City, IA on Monday, December 26th, 2022.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 29th at St. Boniface Catholic Church.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday 5-7 p.m. with a vigil service at 7:00 p.m. at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.  Online condolences may be made to www.meyerbroschapels.com.

She was born December 10, 1942 in Sioux City, IA to parents John and Marguerite Rose. She graduated from Heelan High School in the class of ‘61 where she met her high school sweetheart and love of her life when they were just 16 years old. She enjoyed attending classes at Briar Cliff College. Patti was known to befriend any and all she met. She was first and always a dedicated mother and caregiver. She volunteered at hospice and she was a donor at the blood bank. She was the life of the party and the first on the dance floor. Patti loved to spend her summers with the whole family in Okoboji, she loved New York and seeing Broadway shows. She was happiest when everyone gathered for Christmas Eve at her home. If someone had nowhere to go on Christmas, Patti Lou would welcome them with open arms and a present ready. Patti was determined to make it to her 80th Christmas and get the family together again and to no one’s surprise, she made it happen.

She was preceded by her sister Diane Backman, her parents John and Marguerite Rose.

She is survived by her husband, Dick, sister Debbie (Garrie) Saylor, children: Kelly (Bobby) Steiner, Dickie Brown, Bart Brown and Billy Brown, and grandchildren: Emily (Ryan) Johnson, Kaitlyn Brown, Keegan Brown, Janelle (Ben) Schneiders and Henry Steiner; and 7 great grandchildren as well as many cousins and nieces and nephews that she loved all so dearly.
